South Central SAS Users Group (SCSUG) hosts a Graduate Student Symposium in Analytics
19 of our current MSA students will be attending a Student Symposium in Analytics in San Antonio on Oct. 31st - Nov.1st. This is an exciting opportunity for these students because it provides a chance to showcase both the great talent and potential of our MSA students as future analytics professionals and our MSA program as a leader in business intelligence and analytics education.
3 LSU MSA students from the graduating class of 2014 will be presenting papers at the symposium (Charles Cruthirds,, Saumitra Sharma, and Michael Waldmeier).
The purpose of the symposium is to provide students, future analytics professionals, a venue for communicating analytical ideas, sharing SAS software techniques, networking and learning from professionals in the field.
This is the first time SCSUG has hosted a graduate student symposium. Dr. Joni Shreve from LSU deserves a lot of credit. She worked with professors from Oklahoma State University and the University of Alabama to set it up. You can find out more by going to http://www.scsug.org/2013-forum/student-symposium/
